About Acupuncture

The World Health Organization recommends acupuncture for over one hundred conditions. Some of the most common include: headache, depression, insomnia, dysmenorrhea and osteoarthritis.

Acupuncture reduces inflammation and pain and promotes circulation. One of its most important benefits is the ability to help people activate their parasympathetic nervous systems: a state where we are able to rest, digest and heal. Chinese medicine believes the blockage of Qi, our vital life energy, is at the root of many imbalances. Acupuncture releases those blockages, and enables our bodies to return to a place of homeostasis.
